William T. Robinson, Ph.D. is a Professor of Behavioral and Community Health Sciences at LSUHSC School of Public Health as well as the Program’s Director of Graduate Studies. He has over 17 years of experience working within the HIV Prevention and Surveillance community, holding a joint appointment as the Research and Evaluation Manager for the Louisiana Department of Health’s Office of Public Health STD/HIV/Hepatitis Program (SHHP), while maintaining a thriving academic standing. His primary research and teaching focus involves the behavioral, epidemiologic, and structural factors that place people at risk for diseases such as HIV/AIDS, STDs, and hepatitis. Dr. Robinson has more than 100 published peer-reviewed articles and reports, has trained more than 1,000 graduate and undergraduate students, and has enrolled more than 10,000 participants into various research projects.
