Part Open House, part in-depth lecture, part “what the heck do I do with a degree in Public Health?”, First Fridays is a new, virtual way for you to get to know LSU School of Public Health better.
Every month, on the first Friday, we will open our “doors” in the hopes that you get to know us better. We’ll talk about how you might come on board and about Public Health as a future career. Then we’ll introduce you to one of our impressive faculty members who will discuss a line of research that is important to them. After that we’ll bring on a student or alumni to talk about how they are actually working in the field that the faculty member just introduced. We’ll be open to answer any questions you may have; whether it be about admissions, the student experience or what your future could look like in Public Health we’ll make sure to have the resources you need to get the answers you need.
Everyone is invited: potential students, parents, friends – ANYONE interested in learning a bit more about the breadth of Public Health!
We look forward to meeting you all – and introducing you to our Public Health team!

School of Public Health Open House!
All are invited and welcome to attend our Open House. Come learn why you’ll be in huge demand as a public health or health management professional. Meet some of our student-focused faculty, staff and current students in a casual setting. You’ll also get to learn more about admissions requirements, financial aid opportunities and the benefits of our program. We look forward to your visit!
If you have any questions please contact Admissions at email@example.com.
We would love to chat with you. Chat hour is an informal meeting to help you explore your interest in public health at LSUHSC School of Public Health. If you are unable to attend an Open House, this is a great way to learn about our program and meet with students and faculty. We have two options to connect with you:
- In person, on campus visit allows you to meet with an admissions guide, faculty member and/or a current student in a one on one setting in the area that you are interested in
- If you are unable to join us on campus, you can schedule a phone meeting or connect you through email with current students, faculty members and admissions.
You must register to join us for Chat Hour. Please use the following schedule to register. To schedule a Chat Hour or to get more information, contact Admissions at 504.568.5700 and firstname.lastname@example.org
Your information will not be shared with anyone outside of the LSU Health New Orleans MPH Program.
