The School of Public Health is committed to preparing strong, innovative and diverse public health practitioners and scientists. Admission to the public health program is done on a competitive basis. Applicants are evaluated and accepted by the admissions committee based on their academic credentials, and work and service experiences. Diversity is a priority in admissions; the committee strives to select applicants that are well prepared academically from diverse ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds. Admissions will be conducted on a rolling basis.
The current application deadline for Spring 2025 is December 15, 2024.
Application Requirements:
- Completion of prerequisite courses and at least 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75
- Unofficial transcript/s from all college/university attended to date

Status of Application
Upon receipt of a completed application, the applicant is notified by LSUHSC-NO School of Public Health, Office of Academic Affairs. The Office of Academic Affairs will also inform applicants of any missing or incomplete documentation. An applicant will not be considered by the admissions committee until the application is complete. It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide all materials by the deadline above.
