The LA Medicaid Public University Partnership Program (PUPP) was created by the Louisiana Department of Health, Bureau of Health Services Financing (LDH) to support research and evaluation projects that further the proper and efficient administration of the Louisiana Medicaid program to promote delivery of evidence-based, high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective care to Louisiana Medicaid members.

Dr. Peggy Honoré -LSUHSC-NO successfully competed for a 2-year 2023- 2024 PUPP award titled LSUHSC-NO Health Policy Honors Program Contributions to Promoting Evidence-Based Care to Louisiana Medicaid Members. Dr. Honoré and Dr. Patrick Bernet, a Health Economist consultant to the research, participated in the inaugural PUPP Research Day event on Thursday August 25, 2023. A third project is underway lead by Eva Mace, MD Class of 2024.
