Undergraduate Association for Public Health Practice Officers

Megan Nelson, President

Megan is currently a second-year Bachelor of Science in Public Health student. She plans to use her degree to connect with hospital systems to better serve the well-being of a wide range of underserved populations. As the Undergraduate Association for Public Health Practice President for the current academic year, Megan aims to increase student activities and expression while increasing awareness of professional opportunities/resources for LSUHSC BSPH students.

Megan Wardsworth, Executive Vice President

Megan is a second-year Bachelor of Science in Public Health student. She aspires to work in Psychology and Maternal/fetal health to create a positive change for individuals, families and communities. As the Undergraduate Association for Public Health Practice Executive Vice President for the current academic year, Megan plans to continue to assist in creating accessible professional resources and providing student activities.

Katelyn Bourgeois, Secretary
Katelyn is a second-year Bachelor of Science in Public Health student. She aspires to work in healthcare management or health insurance to ensure individuals have access to quality healthcare. Katelyn currently serves as the Undergraduate Association for Public Health Practice secretary and strives to promote the rights and interests of LSUHSC BSPH students.

Nicole Coleman, Vice President of Social Affairs
Nicole is a first-year Bachelor of Science in Public Health student. She aspires to work in public service settings, such as the government and nonprofit organizations, specializing in healthcare policy and management to ensure better initiatives are brought into action to provide healthcare equity to all citizens. Nicole currently serves as the Executive Vice President for Social Affairs for the Undergraduate Association for Public Health Practice with a mission of promoting connectivity and collaboration amongst BSPH students.

Dynisha Benson, Vice President of Community Service
Dynisha is a rising senior in the Bachelor of Science in Public Health program. She is aiming to become a public health director and eventually start her own non-profit organization with hopes to help eliminate health disparities in underserved communities. As the Undergraduate Association for Public Health Practice Interim VP of Community Service, her objective is to engage fellow students with their surrounding community through service opportunities within the public health domains.
