The Louisiana Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, began in 2002 when it received funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for statewide cancer control planning and breast and cervical cancer early detection programs. LCP is currently part of the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program administered by the CDC. With additional support from program funders and partners such as American Cancer Society, Komen for the Cure, Avon Foundation, United Way of Southeast Louisiana, and the State of Louisiana, it has grown to include professional education, public education, patient navigation and other initiatives. The Louisiana Comprehensive Cancer Control Program is house and part of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Public Health.

George Washington University (GW) Cancer Center’s Action for PSE Change tool is an online platform to help comprehensive cancer control professionals, coalitions and communities with improving health across the cancer continuum through Policy, Systems and Environmental (PSE) changes. This platform offers basic information on the PSE change approach and resources on where to find and how to use cancer data and other resources to advance PSE change efforts. It will also help users learn from successful PSE change examples in the area of cancer control.
