Breastfeeding report card, happiness at work, Zika

CDC – Breastfeeding Report Card 2016
Breastfeeding rates continue to rise in the U.S. Among infants born in 2013, 4 out of 5 (81.1 percent) started to breastfeed, over half (51.8 percent) were breastfeeding at 6 months, and almost one third (30.7 percent) were breastfeeding at 12 months. More than half of states (29 states, including D.C. and Puerto Rico) have already met the HP2020 objective of 81.9 percent ever breastfeeding. Despite high breastfeeding initiation rates and continued improvement in breastfeeding duration, most states are not yet meeting HP2020 breastfeeding duration and exclusivity targets. For infants born in 2013, 12 states met the HP2020 breastfeeding objective for 6 months duration (60.6 percent).
