The Student Government Association of the School of Public Health offers an Annual Boy Scouts of America Public Health Merit Badge Day. During the Merit Badge Day, current students enrolled in the School of Public Health will teach the Scouts BSA about Public Health; following the BSA requirements for the Public Health Merit Badge.
The date for this Annual Merit Badge Class is April 5, 2025.
Parents are welcome to attend, but they can drop off their Scouts. They can register if they would like to eat lunch with us.

We will cover ALL of the requirements in detail including requirement #5 where we will visit the University Cafeteria. The cafeteria tour starts after our lunch break.
The location for the class is the LSU Health Sciences Center Lion’s Eye Clinic LEC 130, School of Public Health and Medical School Building, 2020 Gravier Street.
- Scouts BSA are to wear their Field Uniforms (Class A) to the class.
- Free parking on campus in the lot next the building and Student Lot #2 a block away (corner of Bolivar and Perdido; entrance on Perdido), no need to park at the meters or pay lot. Campus Police know you are coming and are aware the Scouts will be on campus.
