The LSU School of Public Health has received some exciting news – we have been awarded HRSA funding for scholarships for our MPH and BSPH students!
We were notified of our successful application for a Public Health Scholarship Program which we call “Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans Scholarships for Public Health Education, outReach, and Equity (LSU SPHERE)”. The award is for $1,165,911 over three years. You may have heard the Chancellor mention this during his updates last week. This funding is over 90% scholarships, the only other cost associated is marketing and outreach. We are one of 29 awardees under this new program.
The program will launch this spring.
