LSU Health New Orleans releases plan to reduce cancer deaths in Louisiana

Dr. Donna L. Williams, Director of the Louisiana Cancer Prevention and Control Program in the LSU School of Public Health was featured on WWL.com Friday, July 7, 2017 announcing the LSU Health New Orleans plan to reduce cancer deaths in Louisiana over the next five years.  Dr. Williams says the Louisiana Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan will help ensure people have access to the health services they need. She stated that, “Working with primary care providers to make sure that people get their mammogram, their PAP test, their colonoscopy, their HPV vaccine, things that are going to help prevent these cancers or help detect them early.”
