In May, the LSU School of Public Health’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Book Club will be joined by Sandro Galea, Dean of Boston University’s School of Public Health, to discuss his book Pained: Uncomfortable Conversations about the Public’s Health, co-authored by Michael Stein.  This collection of essays dives deep into understanding the factors that impact health in America in order to shift the public discourse about health.

The DEI Committee welcomes all those interested in joining the conversation with Dr. Galea! The aim of the DEI book club is to be in conversation with each other, the work we do in public health and beyond, and the texts we read, and is open to all.  All are welcome, whether you’ve read the books or are here for the conversation!

Date: Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11AM CST on Zoom
