Dual-Degree In Person Track for MD Students

Students in the 4-Year MD-MPH Program benefit from a dynamic curriculum, diverse field placements, and mentorship from expert faculty across LSU Health Sciences Center.   • Summer Session before Year 1 Medical School – Start MPH Courses
  • Year 1 Fall Semester of Medical School – No MPH Courses
  • Year 1 Spring Semester of Medical School – Continue MPH Courses
  • Summer Session before Year 2 – MPH Practice Experience and Courses
  • Year 2 Fall Semester of Medical School – Continue MPH Courses
  • Year 2 Spring Semester of Medical School – Continue MPH Courses
  • Year 3 of Medical School – No MPH Courses
  • Year 4 of Medical School – MPH Culminating Experience

  • Acceptance by LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine
  • The deadline to apply to the LSU School of Public Health for the MD/MPH program is May 1
