Online One Health Dual Degree Program for DVM Students

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) student may choose to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree to expand their impact beyond clinical practice and into population health, epidemiology, and disease prevention. Veterinary medicine and public health are deeply interconnected, particularly in areas such as zoonotic diseases, food safety, environmental health, and global health initiatives.

An MPH provides DVM students with a broader understanding of how animal health influences human health, equipping them with the skills to work in government agencies, research institutions, policy development, and public health organizations. This dual-degree pathway, especially through the One Health approach, prepares veterinarians to address complex health challenges that span across species and ecosystems, making them valuable contributors to interdisciplinary health solutions worldwide.
