Arrival of International and Out-of-State Students
Students move into the dormitories All Day Familiarity Appointed student ambassadors will be on campus awaiting arrival of incoming students. Students will be directed to their respective dormitories.
Friday, August 11th
Welcoming program for International and Out-of-State Students
Discussion with Student ambassadors and peers 12:00noon-12:50pm Integration Working with the SGA and Student ambassadors to moderate an interactive session for incoming students to share their experiences and answer questions.
Meeting with International Services 1:00pm-2:30pm Integration, familiarity, hospitality Session with International office to educate them on their expectations as International students
Saturday, August 12th
Rock and Bowl! 9:30pm-12:00am Hospitality, Integration Come celebrate the start of the school year and meet the students and faculty! There will be food, fun, and drinks. Located at Rock n’ Bowl on Carrollton Ave.

Welcoming Address from Student Affairs 9:15am-10:00am Responsibility General and important session to announce information specific to student affairs: class registration, self-service access, class schedule changes, etc.
Academic Affairs: Student Expectations 10:00am-10:50am Academic Integrity, professionalism, respect Academic Affairs led informational to address schools expectations: academic conduct, grades, advising, mentoring, writing, professionalism, participation, grievances and more.
Student Research 11:00am-11:45pm Collaboration, Service, Professionalism, Participation Getting involved in student research and experience, Presented by Dr. Trapido
Team Up Presentation 11:45am-12:00pm Collaboration, Participation Team Up First Year Interprofessional Education Experience:    Team Up is a two-year longitudinal experience integrated within the curriculum of all six LSU Health Schools for all first and second-year students. Beginning in September 2017, approximately 850 first-year students from nineteen academic health programs will convene in seventy teams on a monthly basis.
Lunch with Program Faculty, Program Orientation/Advising 12:15pm-1:45pm Collaboration Group Lunch with program faculty and student mentors.
Campus Tour 2:00pm-3:00pm Health, Familiarity Campus tours led by students will beheld in groups to rotate through the parking and ID offices.

Hands-on Workshop at Library 12:30pm – 2:00pm Academic Integrity Hands-on Workshop on using library resources led by SPH librarian.
Compliance Training in Computer Laboratory Responsibility Hands-on session in computer lab for new students to complete all compliance training
